Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2, 2026

My Vocabulary Tracker ("the app") is a personal vocabulary-building tool. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it's used, and how you can control it.

1. Information we access

When you sign in with Google, the app requests permission to access:

The app does not access any other files, emails, or data in your Google account, and does not access any spreadsheet you didn't create through the app.

2. Where your data lives

Your vocabulary data is stored entirely in a Google Sheet that lives in your own Google Drive — not on our servers. We do not operate a database and do not retain a copy of your words, translations, or progress anywhere outside that Sheet.

A small amount of data is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage), such as your selected theme, native language, and a reference to your spreadsheet's ID, purely to improve your experience across visits. This never leaves your device.

3. Third-party services

To provide dictionary lookups, translations, and pronunciation, the app sends limited data to:

These requests contain only the word or phrase being looked up — never your name, email, or any other personal information (except where noted above for Google Analytics, which uses standard, non-identifying usage data).

4. Data we do not collect

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes, and we don't use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing. If the app later enables Google AdSense, this policy will be updated first to disclose it.

5. Your control over your data

6. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to manishkembral@gmail.com.
